(COLDWATER) - Area school administrators are being invited to schedule student attendance for a live, interactive history program coming to the Tibbits Opera House in January.

"TCT On Tour: Harriet Tubman: Straight Up Outta' The Underground," presented by the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati, will be performed Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, with showtimes at 9:15 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The 45-minute, one-woman production is designed specifically for student audiences and blends storytelling with audience participation.

The program follows the life of Harriet Tubman, the most recognized conductor of the Underground Railroad, highlighting her escape from slavery and her repeated, dangerous journeys back into the South to help others gain their freedom. Known as "Moses," Tubman's story is used to engage students in discussions about American history, courage and social justice.

The performance is part of Tibbits Young Audiences' ongoing effort to provide curriculum-connected arts experiences that support classroom learning for students from early grades through high school.

School officials interested in reserving tickets for their students are encouraged to contact the Tibbits office at 517-278-6029.
