Wednesday night in NECC basketball action the Fremont Lady Eagles defeated Prairie Heights 51-36 to advance to the semi-finals of the NECC tourney. They will play Angola (at AHS) Friday at 6 PM.

Meanwhile the Fremont boys basketball team fell to Prairie Heights 63-53. The Panthers play the Hornets at Angola Friday night in the boys semi-final game, which will be aired on WLKI-100.3 with a 7:15 broadcast time, with tip off at 7:30 PM.

The other boys semi final game Friday night will be West Noble verses Westview at Central Noble High School. That game will be carried on Thunder Country 105.5, with a 7:15 broadcast time, and tip off at 7:30 PM.

Consolation games in the NECC tournament will take place Thursday. The Lady Panthers play their consolation at home starting at 6 PM, followed by the Fremont boys playing Lakeland at Prairie Heights Thursday night at 7:30 PM in a consolation game.

In area wrestling Thursday night the Prairie Heights Panthers travel to the eagle's nest at Fremont. Wrestling will start at 6:30 PM. The Fremont Eagle's will also be celebrate senior night, recognizing two senior members of the Eagle wrestling team prior to the match.
