Ashley Man Sentenced On Drug And Firearm Charges

(ASHLEY) – An Ashley man has been sentenced on charges dating back to 2022.

DeKalb County Court officials say that 39 year old Kyle Brady was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking and firearms charges.

The Auburn Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, along with the Steuben County Special Response Team executed a drug raid on Brady’s home in the 200 block of West Garfield Street in July 2022.

During their search officers found 309 grams of methamphetamine; 542 grams of marijuana; 5 grams of cocaine; 43 Alprazolam pills; digital scales, drug paraphernalia; cash, along with a shotgun; an AR-15 style rifle with a 50 round drum and bullet resistant vests with ceramic plates.

Brady was charged with felony counts of dealing methamphetamine; possession of cocaine; possession of a stolen firearm; possession of a handgun by a serious and violent felon; dealing in marijuana; three counts of possession of a controlled substance; maintaining a common nuisance and a habitual offender enhancement.

Brady plead guilty and was convicted on possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance; felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

In addition to the 25 year prison sentence, Brady will also have 10 years of supervised release.
