(CENTREVILLE) – A former teacher accused of criminal sexual conduct has waived his preliminary hearing.
Officials with St. Joseph County District Court say 59 year old David Wing waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over to Circuit Court. No trial date has been set, pending the outcome of a pretrial status conference.
Wing is facing three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and child sexually abusive activity. One charge goes back to 2008 while the most recent allegedly happened in early July.
Wing has been a teacher and coach in the Three Rivers, Constantine and Hillsdale School Districts. He was also a teacher and later assistant principal in the Marcellus School District.
Wing has maintained his innocence in the face of these allegations. He remains free after posting a $100,000 bond.
