Monday Aug 18, 2014 10:01am
Sturgis Area Chamber Of Commerce • Sturgis, MI

By: Mike Stiles

(STURGIS) – An organization that travels around the United States giving back to communities will be making a stop in Sturgis today.

Floyd's 99 Barbershop will bring their barberbus to Sturgis. The purpose of the group is to give free haircuts to members of the communities they visit. Floyd's 99 worked with the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce and the Salvation Army to set up the free haircuts.

In addition to the haircuts, there will also be pork barbeque sandwiches for 250 people.

The event is sponsored by Floyd's 99 Barbershop and Jeff Kuhl of Michiana Millworks, who manufactured the bus the group travels the country in.

The location for the haircuts and lunch is the Sturgis Chamber parking lot and barn. Food will be served starting at 10:30 AM and the haircuts at 11 AM.

The public is welcome to stop by and thank Kuhl and Floyd's for what they do.
