Tuesday morning in Trine University’s T. Furth Center, Angola Middle School seventh graders presented David Benson of the Brokaw Movie House with an award from Indiana Landmarks, dated October 25th, 2016. The presentation was delayed following a crash several years ago that damaged the facade of the newly renovated facility.


The movie house, located in the northwest corner of the public square, was opened in August 1931 by Joe Brokaw. Indiana Landmarks’ goal is to help Hoosiers re-imagine, rescue and revive meaningful places. Benson said the theatre is grateful for the Indiana Landmarks’ recognition.
