The Williams County coroner has officially released a preliminary report on the death of Anthony Wyse, of Montpelier. The official cause of death has been deemed drowning as no signs of trauma or foul play are believed to be involved. Deputies recovered Wyse’s body from the St. Joseph River near County Road J and McKarns Lake. The Williams County Sheriff’s Office conducted searches throughout last week as his body was found in the river on Friday evening.
