Cameron Memorial Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Jacqueline Akey, MD to the Cameron Family Practice team. Dr. Akey is a board-certified family physician focused on the care of the adolescents, teens, and adults. Beginning February 5, 2019, she will be seeing patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays at her office in the Cameron Medical Office Building at 306 E. Maumee Street, Suite 301, Angola and on Mondays at her office in Fremont, IN (401 Broad Street, Suite D).

Dr. Akey completed her undergraduate degree at Purdue School of Pharmacy in Lafayette, IN, and her medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. She completed her residency through the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. After completion of her residency, Dr. Akey joined Parkview Physicians Group where she served as a family physician, medical student preceptor, and a resident preceptor for 27 years. She then joined Fort Wayne Community Schools as the physicians and acting medical director where she oversaw the care of Fort Wayne Community Schools faculty and their families for three years.
