Cameron Hospital Begins Discussions with Steuben County Officials
Tuesday, December 11, 2018

Cameron Memorial Community Hospital officials went before the Steuben County Board of Commissioner on Monday, November 19, 2018, to discuss the provision of EMS services to the community. In the report provided by WLKI it was incorrectly stated, that Cameron Hospital was looking at options that could bypass the county completely. “This is simply not true,” said McCahill. “Cameron was present for the meeting so we could participate in the discussions pertaining to EMS services. I have high regard for all the paramedics that service our community. Cameron does not want to bypass the county for these services, but rather work together on a solution that will best benefit this community.”

As a direct result of this meeting, the Steuben County Board of Commissioners appointed a workgroup tasked with developing a positive solution for EMS services that best serves the residents of the Steuben County community. The workgroup’s first meeting was held on Monday, December 10, 2018.
