HAMMOND, IN — Northern Indiana has a new United States Attorney.

Clifford D. Johnson is officially the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana.

He was sworn in by Chief U.S. District Judge Jon E. DeGuilio Wednesday in the federal courthouse in Hammond.

Johnson was nominated by President Joe Biden on July 26th and unanimously confirmed by the Senate on September 30th for the Northern District of Indiana U.S. attorney position. Biden signed Mr. Johnson’s commission on Tuesday.
