Howe Woman Injured In Two Vehicle Collision

(MIDDLEBURY) – A Howe woman was injured in a two vehicle collision south of Middlebury.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office, 16 year old Jeryl Miller of Goshen was driving north on County Road 35 just before 7:30 Wednesday morning, and was attempting to turn went on County Road 20. A second vehicle, driven by 52 year old Mindy Smith of Howe, was heading south on County Road 35.

Investigators say Miller turned in front of Smith and their vehicles collided.

Smith was taken to Parkview LaGrange Hospital to be treated for chest and neck pain.

Miller was not injured. He was given citations for learner permit violation and failure to yield the right of way.
