Eagleson and Sprunger Say Good Say Goodbye to MSD
By: Sheila McCrea - Thursday, September 23, 2021

ANGOLA — The Metropolitan School District said goodbye to two members of the administrative team during this week’s Board of Trustees meeting.

Karen Eagleson has officially retired as the district’s business manager. She came to the MSD of County in July 2020 after serving in a similar position with Prairie Heights Community Schools. Eagleson has been instrumental in running the numbers for various budgets and district projects.

Steve Sprunger attended his last meeting as interim superintendent. He has temporarily the position since July.

The school board announced last week that it has selected a candidate for the superintendent position. Officials with the district have been finalizing a contract with the candidate.

A public meeting for the community to offer feedback concerning the new superintendent contract will be held Monday at 5 p.m. The meeting will take place in the boardroom of the F.K. McCutchan Administrative Center (400 South Martha Street).
