Motorcyclist Injured After Striking Deer

A woman was injured when her motorcycle struck a deer.

According to the Branch County Sheriff's Department, 51 year old Margo Boyd was driving her motorcycle on Marshall Road at 11:45 Saturday morning, when a deer ran in front of her. Boyd hit the deer, losing control of the bike and causing it to crash.

Boyd was flown from the scene by West Michigan Air Care to Bronson
Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, where she is listed in serious condition.

Also assisting at the scene was the Coldwater Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance.
