Saturday Afternoon Motorcycle Accident In Branch Country

On Saturday Afternoon, Branch County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of a motorcycle accident with injuries on Southern Rd and Rierson Rd., in Noble Township.

Sheriff Deputies arrived and found a single motorcycle had left the roadway flipping over. The driver was semi-conscious when Deputies and Bronson Fireman arrived. Deputies investigation shows, 39-year-old man from Decatur, Indiana was north bound on Rierson Rd, attempted to round the curve onto W. Southern Rd., lost control leaving roadway flipping over and throwing the 39-year-old driver into a field. The cyclist suffered minor head injuries. The 39-year-old cyclist was transported to Promedica Emergency by Life Care Ambulance. Sheriff Deputies later arrested and lodged the cyclist for Operating under the influence. The cyclist was NOT wearing a helmet and no other rider on motorcycle.

Branch County Sheriff Deputies were assisted at the scene by, Life Care Ambulance and Bronson Fire Department.
