Coldwater Man Returns To Prison Following Police Pursuit

A Coldwater man was ordered to serve 18 months to 10 years within the Michigan Department of Corrections on Monday as he entered guilty pleas to two charges in connection with a September police pursuit between Coldwater and Bronson in Branch County Circuit Court.

31-year-old Robert Manley Wilson Junior admitted his guilt to second degree fleeing and eluding and operating until the influence of liqour. However, In exchange for his guilty pleas prosecutors dismissed two counts of third degree fleeing and eluding and a charge of assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer.

In another case, Wilson entered a guilty plea to a larceny charge and was given a six month jail term with credit for 120 days already served. Online records from the Michigan Department of Corrections indicate Wilson was discharged from prison last February after being sentenced in Branch County back in 2014 for attempted unarmed robbery.
