Branch County Sheriff Deputies responded to a single vehicle personal injury accident at I-69 south bound near Dorrance Rd. Coldwater Twp.

On arrival Deputies found a mini sport SUV accident with the single occupant injured. Due to serious injuries of the 16-year-old female driver from Muncie Indiana, Coldwater Fire Department used the jaws of life to extricate the female driver. Coldwater Fire Department first responders and Life Care Ambulance paramedics treated the victim, then Life Care Ambulance transported the driver to Ft Wayne Trauma Hospital in serious condition.

Deputy’s preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was south bound on I-69 rounding the curve losing control rolling several times. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The accident remains under investigation by Branch County Sheriff Office.

Branch County Sheriff Deputies were assisted at the scene by, Life Care Ambulance, Coldwater Fire and Police Departments, Michigan State Police and Branch County Road Commission.
