An area hunter fell from a tree stand over the weekend.
Reports indicate the Bronson Fire Department was dispatched to 632 West Central Road in Branch County Michigan's Bethel Township just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning for a hunter who fell from a tree stand.
First units on the scene found a hunter about a half mile from the road who had fallen about 16 feet from a tree stand when the ratchet strap holding the stand from the tree broke. BFD crews also set up a landing zone for West Michigan AirCare who flew the patient from the scene.
A Michigan Department of Natural Resources conservation officer also responded to the scene.
Fire crews were on scene for just over two hours.
