Area authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning in Sturgis, Michigan. According to the Sturgis City Police Department, officers were called to the 1200 block of East Chicago Road at 12:36 a.m.

Reports indicate an armed male suspect was wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and what appeared to be a black mask entered a Sturgis business. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white passenger car that headed southbound on Pioneer Street after the incident.

The name of the business that was robbed was not listed in a report submitted by the Sturgis City Police.
