LaGrange County Commissioners voted 2-to-1 in favor of vacating a platted public drive at Big Long Lake Monday morning.

The request from adjacent property owners Sherrie Flaig-Davis, Kim Flaig, and Ashley & Brandon Skinner was to vacate the public way, which was encroached on over the years by a shared driveway and a portion of a house.

The attorney for the petitioners, Bill Eberhard, had a discussion with Commission President Larry Miller.

Eberhard said the encroachment was permitted after-the -fact by the county back in 1992.

Miller voted against the vacation. Commissioners Dennis Kratz and Terry Martin voted in favor.
