Aerial Spraying Continues In Michigan
Monday, October 7, 2019

Aerial spraying of mosquitoes continued last night in portions of southwest Michigan.

Spraying occurred in portions of Allegan, Calhoun, Kent, Lapeer, Montcalm, and VanBuren Counties, and the Fort Custer Training Center, portions of which are in Kalamazoo County.

It was the sixth night of aerial spraying in Michigan, where there have been nine confirmed human cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis, including four fatalities, and 34 animal cases.

The mosquitoes causing the infections are still active and were caught in traps last week.
