Two men are charged with criminal recklessness following an incident near Cromwell last Saturday.

A large crowd of people were watching horse races on a quarter mile strip of land when a fight broke out.

The Noble County Sheriff’s Department says 23-year-old Jonathan Hinojosa of Chicago and 35-year-old Esteban Martinez of Elkhart fired shots...Hinojosa into the air and Martinez into the ground.

Police believe that shot into the ground ricocheted and struck Gregario Rangel of Ligonier in the leg.
