Tuesday Night House Fire In Bronson, Michigan

The Bronson Fire Department was dispatched by Branch County 911 to a house fire at 1224 West Chicago in Bronson Township Tuesday night just before 11PM. Fire crews arrived to find smoke coming from a one-story house. Firefighters entered the house and quickly extinguished a fire in the living room. There were two occupants home when the fire broke out. They were sleeping in a bedroom and woke when their dog began to bark.

The two were forced to escape out the bedroom window due to smoke and heat. Fire crews were on scene for two and a half hours. Damage is estimated at $10,000 to the contents and $25,000 to the building. There were no injuries. The Bronson Police Department and Lifecare Ambulance also responded to the scene.
