Sturgis Church continues its strong Vacation Bible School program…
This summer, July 17—21, Sturgis First United Methodist Church will continue its solid Vacation Bible School tradition. Beginning with the Block Party in the Chapel’s parking lot (south end of the church) on July 17, 6—8 pm with music, food, and games, volunteers will lead local children in art, music, bible lessons, and fun memories. Leaders are planning delightful activities for Monday—Thursday evenings that week, 6 pm—8 pm. We offer classes for 3 year olds through fourth grade. Parents of all students will be invited each evening to come for closing at 7:30 to receive insight about lessons given that particular day. Parents, grandparents, families, and the congregation is invited to the closing program at 7:30 pm, on Thursday, July 21.
The theme for this year’s VBS is Surf Shack. At Surf Shack, students will discover an interactive, energizing, Bible-based program that will give them an opportunity to ride the waves with God. During Vacation Bible School at Surf Shack: Catch the Wave of God’s Amazing Love, children will become Surfers and explore how to serve God and experience God’s amazing presence in their lives, based on the verses found in Nehemiah 4:14, “Remember that the Lord is great and awesome.”
For preregistration of children, you can call the church office at 651-5990 or email email@example.com Registration forms will be available later in July during both the 8:30 contemporary and 11:00 traditional Sunday morning worship services.
